Summary: You will soon be able to pay for uniforms online in the Uniform Shop we are currently creating. It will allow you to buy online and make it easier for you to purchase things such as uniforms and all the things that your children need for their classes.

Uniforms 2011

To all KPG Students and Parents,

It has come to my attention that many students are not wearing the correct uniform to classes. The uniform has been designed to enforce safe dance practices, allow teachers to help students develop to their potential, help casting directors learn each student’s name (rather than identifying them as the kid in the blue t-shirt!) and overall give a sense of belonging to the school.

Please find below a reminder of the 2011 Uniform and Grooming code. I ask that all parents ensure students are wearing this uniform to classes as it will be enforced from this date onwards. Students out of uniform will not be able to take part in our Annual Drama night or Annual Concert.

Please note all dance shoes can be purchased from North Shore Ballet Centre in Chatswood (who will offer KPG students a discount), any Blochs Ballet store or balletstuff.com.au. We also run a second hand shoe store –enquire at the
office. T-shirts and Boys Dance Shorts can be purchased from the KICK office and dance pants can be purchased from the ballet stores mentioned above or any Kmart or Target who sell black gym pants.

Twinkle Toes

Toe Heel, Primary Jazz and Tap

Jazz - KPG Black T-shirt, Black full length dance pants or black bike shorts, black socks and black split sole jazz shoes.

Tap – Black socks and Black buckle tap shoes.

KICK Starters Kindy and Year 1 &2

Jazz/Singing/Drama - KPG Black T-shirt, Black full length dance pants or black bike shorts, black socks and black split sole jazz shoes.

Ballet (wear underneath uniform) – Black leotard, Pink ballet stockings and Pink Ballet shoes.

Triple Threat, Glee Primary & High School, Do You Think You Can Dance, Hip Hop Open and Contemporary

KPG Black T-shirt or Dance Singlet, Black full length dance pants, black socks and black split sole jazz shoes. Hip Hop may wear black sneakers

Performance Stream Red & Blue

Jazz/Singing/Drama/Tap - KPG Black T-shirt, Black full length dance pants, black socks, black split sole jazz shoes & black buckle tap shoes. Ballet (wear underneath uniform) – Black leotard, Pink ballet stockings and Pink Ballet shoes.

Drama Company, Screen Acting, Creative Kids & Acting Up, Glee Special Needs

KPG Black T-shirt, Black full length dance pants or dress pants for boys, black socks, black split sole jazz shoes or black sneakers or black school shoes.

Boys Jazz, Singing, Drama, Musical Theatre –

KPG T-shirt, KPG Black Dance shorts or dance pants (Students Yr 2 and under can also wear black bike shorts), Black socks and Black jazz shoes. Drama students may wear black dress pants and sneakers.

Boys Ballet –

Above uniform plus Black socks and Black ballet shoes

Boys Tap

Above uniform plus Black socks and Black lace up tap shoes.

Boys Hip Hop

KPG T-shirt, KPG Black Dance shorts or dance pants or black bike shorts, Black socks and Black sneakers or jazz shoes.

Girls – Hair pulled back off the face in a high ponytail or bun secured with a neutral coloured elastic and pins. All fringes and whispy hair gelled or sprayed down. No make-up or jewellery.

Boys – Hair neatly groomed and no jewellery.

KPG HOODIES MAY BE WORN TO ALL CLASSES FOR EXTRA WARMTH.

Purchasing Uniforms

KPG T-shirts, KPG Dance singlets, KPG Black Boys Dance shorts, KPG Hoodies can be purchased at the office Monday-Friday or on Saturday during class times. A facility to request uniforms online will be up and running shortly.

Shoes can be purchased from North Shore Ballet Centre or any Blochs Dance store. North Shore Ballet Centre offer a discount to KPG students.

A minimal second hand shoe stall is operated at KICK by appointment only. If you have any second hand shoes you would like to sell, please drop them in to the office in a sealed snap lock bag with your contact details and the price for which you would like to sell them on the shoes.
